Welcome to Saddle Sore International Scooter Club

 

Saddle sore was started in Colchester essex in 2003, during the Mersea
island scooter rally. A group of friends from the UK, Germany and Austria, while drunk talked about how people from different countries see their scene, the differences between each and how they could help promote rallies and events across borders. The idea of a international club was started.

The club is not just about riding to events in other countries, it is about helping people coming to your country, to your event or someone else’s.

It could be that you can give accommodation, information or just a chat and a beer, making people welcome in anyway is the important thing.

We aim to get a list of contacts in different countries on this web site, so if you are travelling to a place you can find out what’s going on there and perhaps meet up with people who think the same as you.

There is no membership as such, anyone can call themselves a member as long as they help promote international friendship. Anyone can wear patches or shirts with the name, all we ask is that if you see the name or just a scooterist from another country you stop and have a chat and a few beers together.
